Brief Bio I am a singer/songwriter and guitarist originally from Louisville, KY and now residing in Nashville, TN. My music style is acoustic folk/rock with at times a celtic twist. My songs are very lyric driven but at the same time I love a good rhythm. I can either play solo or with a band. I have experience leading worship and playing at all sorts of venues from colleges and youth conferences to traditional churches. My songs lend themselves to both Christian and secular audiences and I feel it is important to share my music with both types of venues. If you are considering to have share my music or lead worship for your ministry and would like to read more about my walk with Christ, please click here: My Testimony. Long Bio It all started with an old Martin D-28 guitar...my dad had owned it for about 20 years and I had seen him play it all my life. I was 13 and decided I'd like to try out my own guitar playing chops, so I started working on playing basic chords and before I knew it, I was 15 years old and singing three of my original songs for 3,000 young people at a youth conference in Dallas, TX. Everything ballooned from there - I booked myself for about 80 gigs during my Sophomore and Junior years of high school and went everywhere from more youth conferences to music festivals to churches and youth groups and high schools. After my Junior year of high school, however, I was worn spiritually, emotionally and physically, so I decided to take a break from music. I finished out high school and migrated to Nashville to study commercial music at Belmont University. My freshman year at Belmont was a tough spiritual time for me - I didn't know who I was and doubted what I believed. God put specific people in my life during that time, however, to help me realize who I really was and am in Him. Finding this freedom in Him released me to start writing songs - whatever came to me - and I started building up a reperatoire of songs with a completely new style and outlook from what I had been writing in high school. This new style fits me and I'm continuing to write in this freedom I've found. Now I'm playing out again and have even formed a band to back me up who are students here at Belmont as well.
